"PAINTING IS MEDITATION" - Paramahamsa Vishwananda
Meditation is a supreme state of focus that engages our whole being. Allowing ourselves to get totally absorbed with drawing or colouring a Divine Form captivates the senses, pulling them away from the world to focus on the Divine.
Join us for an amazing course that will explain the Sri Yantra and dive deep into its spiritual qualities. Next, your instructor will lead you through the Painting Meditation itself.
WHEN:
June 1, 2024
Teacher: Karunavidravad Dasi
*this class will be recorded for those we cannot attend in person*
9 STEPS TO DIVINITY
This course will guide you through the 9 steps (Avaranas) of the Sri Yantra, each one with its own Affirmation and Meditation.
Next, we will paint and meditate on the Sri Yantra together!
WHAT IS THE SRI YANTRA
A yantra is the most sacred geometry known to mankind, and is a very special energetic instrument for spiritual advancement. Although many yantras exist, the Sri Yantra is considered the oldest, most powerful, and most effective. Believed to contain the power of all creation, it is considered the true form of the Divine Mother Herself.
BENEFITS OF THE SRI YANTRA
The Sri Yantra has a profound effect upon the person who draws, paints, or meditates on one. It helps to control the mind and the senses, as well as creates a high energy frequency which helps transform the negativity of the surroundings into positivity.
On a deeper level, Paramahamsa Vishwananda states that the Sri Yantra contains at least 432,000 forms of the Divine (Devas)! This high energy state can support you in your inner journey and help you to attain the goal of life, but you must have a sincere longing for the Divine Presences, for the Ultimate Truth, for God.
SUPPLIES:
Upon registering for the course, you will be sent a printed coloring card of an image of the Sri Yantra. As this is an introductory course, you will be guided through using art materials in order to color in the image.
We invite you to choose the art materials you feel most drawn to: colored pencils, crayons, chalk pastels, and watercolor pencils are all recommended to use on the coloring card. The most important thing is that the materials are vegan and cruelty free, as we will be painting the Divine Mother Herself.
